Ancien album photo thermoplastique avec à prix réduit couvercle format PLEINE PLAQUE (L722)

Originally the front and back covers were book-bound with a leather spine which has separated due to the weight of the covers and age. Both front and back covers measure 6 3/4" x 8 1/2". The high-relief casting has a central medallion bearing the twined initials "AE" on a shield surrounded with cherubs, musical instruments, flowers and vines. The design does not appear in Berg. The album latch is a thermoplastic plate held by a metal hinge and button. The album shows evidence of use and held a variety of image sizes - half-plate and carte de visite. The inside front page bears an old sticker from a shop in Le Havre, France. This is a heavy beast weighing in at about 3 pounds.
