Lampe Fenton Vaseline Opalescente à prix réduit Hobnail - Prélogo - MCM Topaze Canari Uranium FonctionneCommentaires du vendeur:“Factory original condition, please see description and pictures.” Brand:Fenton Light Color:White Type:Peg lamp Color:Yellow Cord Color:White à prix réduit
Material:Glass Production Style:Vaseline Production Technique:Molded I just purchased a huge collection of Fenton vaseline opalescent hobnail pieces in many different shapes and sizes.I will list the entire collection as time permits going into the fall and winter. The Fenton Glass company of West Virginia began marketing the hobnail pattern in the early 1940s first in blue and French opalescent. In 1941 Fenton introduced the topaz or canary yellow which took the markets by storm. Due to World War II, the company discontinued production of this color because of the scarcity of the materials in its making. Topaz opalescent again came back to the market in 1959 through 1962. Once more sometime in the 1980s Fenton again produced this color of glass, however, all the pieces were marked with the raised oval logo usually found on the bottom of each item. There were shapes and sizes different in the later years, however, many of the original pieces came back into production. All the pieces in this collection react brilliantly in the presence of ultraviolet light, as pictured. Most of the pieces will be listed in the BIN format at reasonable values based on current and sold prices of like or similar shapes. A great opportunity to pick up some truly collectible pieces as gifts or to complete a collection of a particular shape or size. So, without further ado, here we go!
Not normally seen for sale today, this original Fenton product from the 1950s resembles a peg lamp. I believe all parts are original including the electrical cord. I have looked the cord over and can find no splitting or damage and have included a picture of the lamp with a lit bulb. The lamp stands 12 1/2” tall with the glass part measuring 4 1/4” across. I can find no damage or repairs to the glass or any of the existing metal/marble base parts. I will mention that the metal has a patina acquired over time. Although I find no issues with the original cord, it may be the wish of the new owner to replace it out of caution. This peg lamp does not include a shade nor the incandescent bulb used to confirm its operation. A rare Fenton lamp to light up that dark corner of the room. Please view all pictures as they are considered part of the description.
Please check back to my listings often as I will be posting numerous fine examples of glass, pottery and porcelain in the near future.
Thank you.
