Striking 18th century Dr. Wall Worcester tea caddy, circa 1785. Cylindrical shape with domed top. Decorated on one side with a variation of their classic "Fence" pattern. The reverse side has a Chinoiserie inspired landscape scene with two birds flying overhead. Two hand-applied rules at the join between the sides and top.
In excellent antique condition. No cracks, chips or repairs. There is one very tiny flea bite at the outside edge of the bottom base. The glaze is clean with no crazing. Marked with the crescent on the underside.
Measures 4" tall, and 3" in diameter. The opening at the top is 1.5" across.
